The fires have been raging for a while now. Just when we are excited to see blue skies or get used to eating outside, there are more strange weather events that transpire. The cabin has had 18 inches of snow in one night, the smoke here in Northern cal seemed so thick, everything was grey and orange and apolcaleptic looking outside. I swipe and wash soot from the outdoor pillows and stay inside. Despite all of this, I am looking for the silver lining in my days and finding it. Helping Celia with her school is quite challenging and strecthing, but rewarding nothetheless. I am reading two book right now and loving it. We are doing some projects at home too. We painted Celia's room pink and now Joeis painting the fence. I went with the padre brown versus the orange stain that i sso common. I think it really makes the plant cololrs pop against the dark brown. I loved getting ehat I wanted with tht. We delivered Spencer our garage freezer. He loves having access to his poposicles and having more spece for his food. He really does have quite the nice man cave concept going in his one car garage. Bri made more shleves for the garage organization and I cleaned off my side table drawer.
Home is getting more organized then it was when I was running around all the time. I am excited however, to have in person school for Celia later this month. It was a relief to hear that this would be a possiblity. It is still a short day, but the technical difficluties we often have trying to zoom several times a day will be dimminished as she meets with her teachers in person. It's so nice to know she will be around people her age and will get to test her soical skills once again and grow. I hope that it'll go alright, but Im sure it will.
Loved celebrating My folks 51st birthday. My Mom wanted me to find a nice place to have dinner, but outside since that is the requirement in California right now. I chose and got reeservations for La Provence. It was so lovely and yummy and we had a great time. We also had fun with them swimming at their house and playig in the pool with the floaties. Little did we know this would be the last hurrah of summer.
Emmy is off to do her graduate school thing and people are back in town in Provo. Hoping for a great semster for her. We all see opposition, but if we hold tight, and endure it well, we can be stronger, happier, and more understanding when its through. I often tell Celia, we are not quitters, We will see this through, don't give up and if its so terrible, it too shall pass. Prayer helps and we can be comforted by reaching out to God, others, and counting our blessings. So we will go on in September and look for the good and be excited for October and whatever it brings when September ends.
