Eating out and fun outings
Our Samsung refrigerator loss coolness. We have been through Spring Break with no refrigerator. cooking, preparing and storing food had to be rethought. We have been blessed with lunches at Grandma and Grandpa's house. He McCartney's had Brian and I to dinner for a birthday celebration. The Lazy dog was a great restaurant and we have been back. We have been to Jamba juice enjoying the fruits found in those smoothies. We've been to the Waffle Barn and I have been to Mimi's café with Alex and her daughter while Emmy watched Spence. Emmy and I did get to go to a concert together, Trapt. We saw our friends we knew in Antelope there. The Abdon's were so fun and shared nachos with us! We should feel very blessed with our friendship and ability to go places. we drive and see beautiful vistas, most of which I don't get pictures of. We can look at our hardships and see the blessings are so much more. Sometimes we focus on what isn't going well or unfulfilled expectations. Waiting on the lord and working on things really does make a difference and dreams do come true.

22 Years of Married Bliss
I can't believe it has been twenty two years since we were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple. I love to do temple work and there has been so much work coming available lately for my mom's side of the family. It has brought me great joy in doing temple work for those ancestors we've found. I'm so glad Brian and I share in these saving ordinance with our little family. I was reminiscing of our honeymoon and the day. We were truly blessed. We still are to be in love and to be happy with our choices we have made thus far in this life with regards to marriage and family.
We went to the Goldthorpe's Wedding reception for their daughter, checked on the Antelope house(seems like that is all I do these days) and then made our way to Red Lobster for dinner. Rocktail lobster and steak are what I got and Brian had the snow crab legs. Both were delicious and even better was our tie together. I''m so glad we take time for date night so that when all the children are gone we will have maintain that friendship love, and camaraderie as we have grown together through the years. So blessed to have Brian in my life.

Our Process of Prom Prep~
I don't know why it is so exciting to have Emmy to get ready for Prom! Maybe, it is the girl time we get to have together, finding a dress, deciding how to do her hair and nails. Yeah, I was a tom boy as a youth, so maybe I am playing dress up with my beautiful Emmy doll. We found her purple dress while we were out shopping, celebrating Emmy getting her driver's license. We knew we wanted a cute cover up and found that later. The cute hair flower, shoes we had and my mom sent Emmy the beautiful pearl necklace and earrings that used to be my sister Tanya's.
We met at our house and we wanted to get some pictures of the kids outside. Andrew's Dad had an amazing camera and set up a mini photo shoot on the neighbor's lawn by their palm tree. The boutonniere was still tricky to put on. They really do need to come with instructions on how to pin it and make it stay just right. I think the adventure and the attention and complimenting Emmy made her really shine in the pictures I took. I'm excited to see how the other pictures they took turned out.
The school had very romantic decorations lights and arbors and they made it through the lines to get portraits. I saw many kids I knew from church dressed beautifully. Emmy loved all the chocolate covered everything as snacks and they had a great steak dinner at a nice restaurant after the dance. I hope Emmy knows she is spoiled, loved, and this was fun for even us parents.:)

Fairies and Friends

I didn't realize how much we like to dress up around here.:) Emmy was invited to a youth Halloween party with a friend. Good thing her costume was just waiting to be worn.~ I have my camera back from the camera shop, the lens was replaced. Its very exciting to be back in business of taking photos not on my phone only.~
A few weeks ago Emmy was a purple prankster drawing on Celia and Joseph with purple permanent marker. Joseph had a curly mustache on half his face and scribbles on various body parts that were showing while he was asleep. Emmy tagged Celia with a Emmy was here sign on Celia's arm saying "I love you"! Emmy loves purple and her sneaking around at night reminded me of a fairy of some sort causing mischief. I found a costume on line and ordered it for her. It was a great surprise and I am pretty proud of my self for finding the perfect size. Although Emmy can fit into almost everything.
The other day Emmy and I watched a cute show called "You're So Cupid" on Netflix. It reminded me so much of my friend Lisa. She was so into creative dating and matchmaking. After Emmy and I watched the show together we were reminiscing of being in Lisa's wedding and we pulled out the dresses we wore in it. Emmy was a flower girl, but somehow she was able to get the dress on and we took a few pictures. Dressing up is fun to do.. We had a great time reminiscing and remembering Lisa. Lisa made sure we each had tiaras and beautiful jewelry to go with our classy dresses. I was extremely happy to be in her wedding and have Joseph be the ring bearer and Emmy, the flower girl. Years pass by so quickly and things change, but it is fun to dress up!
