Nature walks

Emmy and I went out to lunch. She consistently picks Subway when asked anywhere she'd like to go for lunch, so that is where we went. We went too one in Granite bay that was new and fancy and she said it looked different.:) Afterward we had fun going to the American River. There is an inlet you can walk to that is green and so beautiful. We liked watching the ducks, they seemed to appear out of nowhere and gravitate towards us. Apparently, they are fed by visitors.:)

Mommy/Son time.
I was glad Joseph wore his uniform.:)

I was able to go on Joseph's Webelos hike. It was a three mile walk and it was a beautiful day. We saw butterfly and talked enjoyed the fresh air. Joseph was so excited to go on an airplane to Albuquerque that he was always in front hurrying up the situation so he could move on with the next fun part of his spring break.

Afternoon Hunt~

Celia didn't want me to mess up her ears. I was trying to take them off to get a picture of her new hair do!

Andy and Spence. They make a great team.

Celia and Allie her tutor, they have a lot of fun together and Celia can't wait to have her( and Jono) at her birthday party later this month!

Children make celebrating holidays more fun and exciting. Celia has been talking about Easter for a while. I had our respite worker come and they had an Easter egg hunt and there were still some egg that weren't found in the backyard. We decided to fill our eggs up with Starburst jelly beans, which are so delicious, hide them and hunt some more. It was fun and Celia racked up around 50 eggs! Soon we'll be on to boiling those real eggs decorating them, and eating them since that is Celia jean's favorite way to have eggs cooked. On Sunday we'll go to church and talk a lot about the real meaning of Easter and what a blessing that is! I'm grateful for this beautiful spring Holiday and of course my loving family.:)

Tonight's Sunset

I love that you don't have to go far around here to experience country life beauty. On our way to take a few pictures of our soon to be new home, I snapped a few shots of the gorgeous setting sun . I love where we live and the beautiful place that it is!

New Home Beginnings

Soon to be ours; brand spankin' new home!

This feels right. We had an offer in on another house, but this one feels like a better fit for our family! Just a few short weeks ago, Brian called me from work and asked what I thought of moving?
We talked about the space we could have and the benefits to the children to spread out a little bit. I loved the home we first checked on and agreed it would be a great blessing and opportunity to move as this time. We house hunted for a few weeks and it turns out the first home we went to would be the model we liked the best. The builders have it reserved just for us without the hassle of counter offers and bidding up the price of the home to get accepted. I feel we're truly blessed to make this move to a beautiful, yet modest home that we'll love for many years.
I'm glad Brian saw this as the great opportunity that is is. There will some changes and getting used to things in a new area, but we are so close to where we were. Visiting will not be hassle or problem at all. We have made many great friends we intend to keep, now we are just going to adventure out and see what's new out there. It will be nice to move while the children are a younger and we will miss Antelope, "It's a great place to be." Now we will just have to stop and smell the roses elsewhere.:) The home is built and ready for move in. It won't be long until we will be off on our new adventure!

Kindergarten Hoe Down

It was very cute seeing Celia and her kindergarten friends sing down on grandpa's farm bingo, and do the chicken dance. My favorite part of the program they do each year the kindergartners learn about farm animals. I loved seeing them Dosi Doe! Celia is quite the dancer and it brings me a lot of joy to see her looking for me in the audience and performing as if I am the only one there. Babes grow up too quickly, it is nice to capture a few of these precious moments.

Family is what it is all about!

I am grateful we have the family as a foundation for love in this world. Brian is a great father and husband and we all love him very much. Sometimes there are distractions, but really learning teaching and growing together as a family is what is important. It can be difficult to have meals together every night, but we try. We to pray together, have family home evening, and spend quantity time together to talk and listen and just mess around. "Success in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded on the principles and teachings of Jesus Christ." The family a proclamation to the world.
I am glad that the family is a place where we can learn to be Christ like, patient, and study about what our father in heaven would have us do to return to him.

Mornings with CBJD

CBJD are intials for Celia Bear Jean Davis.:) Celia bear is learning to read. She is so cute reading her little books from school. She has been tested and earned three charms already. That is equal to tweleve or more books. We love our time together before school. We marched through the house today, her leading the way with Spencer's drum and a drumstick. We stopped by the bathroom to comb her hair and wash her face, then we marched to the laundy room(garage) to gather my clothes. She loved laying in my warm clothes and I tried not to care that they were getting all wrinkled. Lets be real, its not like I iron anyway!:) I am soaking in the happy mornings with my kindergartner!

News News News

These past few weeks seem uneventful, yet full of news. I realized we always have things going on. The life of a big family I think.~ Emmy has been playing up a storm in her new high school band, at festivals, championship basket ball games, and concerts at different high schools. I am glad she is getting exposure to these different high schools. She doesn't love change too much and we popped it on her that we are thinking of moving! We want to be in an area nearby, but it is still a change, maybe even a different zip code!
We've looked at houses and we've somewhat appeased Emmy with the thought she could have her own room and not have to share the bathroom with her brothers.:) I hope we can find something like that! We love one story homes and 2 story are a dime a dozen, but we are going to see what comes up and go from there.
I have taken up a new sport, Fencing! My friend Laurie told me about a fencing club where her son and a boy from church take classes. i have been interested in the sport of fencing for a while now, but haven't been able to find a class that would work for my schedule! It is an amazing sport. You have to be strong, quick, aware, and know technique. Also, it is very fast paced. Fencing has been a fun diversion and I wish it was longer than four classes! I have had vertigo for a while now and I seem to do good when distracted by the fun and concentration of Fencing, which is another added bonus!
I have been busy with home finding with the realtor we found this house with. I am having another surgery in preparation for my teeth being done and all pretty. Emmy is getting her braces off in April pending were her rubber band wearing. I have seen her wearing them a lot so that is exciting! There IEPs to prepare for for Celia and Spencer. Joseph is getting excited about his trip to Albuquerque for the 90th birthday celebration of Grandma Jean. He is also moving right along on getting his outdoorsmen badge in cub scouts and working on his arrow of light.
Changes in the children's tutoring has been new, but things are going pretty well. Spencer has a visual schedule for getting ready in the morning. So far it helps Spencer through his routine more smoothly and would be easier for someone other than me to get Spencer ready seeing all the steps it entails.:) Bri and I get to meet with the LDS philantrohpies dept of the church for lunch next week to hear and update on the humanitarian effort in the church. I'm very excited and glad to have such things to look forward to. I love my family, my life, and am happy to record this news update!( It's difficult to blog when you feel like you're on a boat!)

Joy from my mini photographer

Our neighbor Mckenna came over and wanted our kids help with a photography project. She also brought over a few pictures she took of Celia earlier. They were cute, she had wrapped Celia up in a scarf and put a knit hat on her, oh so couture! Celia was so excited she then wanted to take some pictures. I let her borrow the point and shoot camera Emmy and I share. Celia had fun taking pictures of everything. She was giggling and had a great time. She took a few pictures of her tutors, her toys, one of the toilet, and the fridge. She was cracking herself up showing others her pictures she took.
I decided to take this time to take pictures of Celia and Spence. It was a great feeling seeing them so calm and happy.

Car Washing Time

We love to go wash the car. I notice i do it in preparation to clean the inside of my house too. The kids love the bubble gum smell, the sounds of the swishing water and the colors on the window. I love the vaccumed floors and the sparkly windows. It is nice to drive around in a clean car. It makes my day a little brighter.:)

You're a Big Kid Now.

I told Emmy to throw the basketball for an action shot and she nearly threw is over the fence. The new barky neighbor dogs went wild.

Emmy is a good sport. She helped me make little valentine bags for my funny twilight valentines I handed out to a few friends that liked breaking dawn. She recently helped me out with a photo challenge. I had her planking, doing origami and posing in her love sweatshirt. I've been reorganizing my closet and gathering our Blue-Rays and making sure they are all lined up and safe. She organized her closet last night and gather the Wii games and their cases. I love it. Even if she may not act like she is listening to me most of the time, she seems to be following my example and I love it! She is taking a photograph a day for 2012 and loving her camera she got for Christmas. My two older kiddos are really growing up. Spence is becoming a teen as well, growing tall and strong, thinning out and becoming more independent. its a new stage in life, but we are riding this wave, hoping we make it through unscathed. I love all my kiddos, they are fun.:)

Last Cabin, Twice Utah, and One Birthday

This was a big trip and very anticipated since we have changes coming up with the ownership of the Family Cabin. We have gone there for over...
