Skater Spence

Spencer and Lindsay Skateboarding.~

Joseph loves all the visiting of tutors and the attention. That's his skateboard ya know, he has to tell them.:)

Spencer doodle loves playing and learning with his tutors. He and Lindsay put shaving cream in their hands and clap their hands. It makes a white snowy mess and he loves it. The other day he was interested in skateboarding!

My Fantastic Folks

I feel rejuvenated and refreshed from my folks visit, just in time for school to end hehe. I am prepped and ready for whatever the summer brings.
That big orange flowered plant is called a kangaroo paw. I'm hoping it will be a large, neat, and unusual plant there.:)

Even at the end of my folks visit, my mom organized inside while My Dad and I planted Flowers and bushes and put down new bark for the summer.
Joseph and Celia before Church. It was a wonderful thing having my folks come to church with us. I got to see Brian teach in gospel doctrine.:)
The two Josephs reading scriptures on Sunday, I love it! Of course my Dad was reading in Spanish so Joseph was happy to translate by reading the English version
Celia was so happy about my parents being here, both her and Joseph were so sad to see them go.
I'm beginning to think chocolate is a great color to decorate with.:) curtains and baskets for the cupboards in front of Spence's swing in chocolate color~

My folks brought a matching chair and bought me this beautiful rug as a Mother's day gift:)
My folks came up to see us for the Memorial Day weekend. We had such a great time. They are so helpful the first full day they were here we made a run to Deseret Industries and the dump to clean and clear our garage. It went surprisingly fast and we enjoyed movies and going out to dinner that evening. We introduced my folks to Long John Silvers. They thought it was a cute fish and stick place, and they didn't even have to travel to Ports of Call! We had many shopping adventures and cleaned out closets. Brian BBQed for Memorial day and it was super yummy like usual. I also love the melon and strawberries, summer bbqing is definitely going to be a regular thing here pretty soon.

On Monday and Tuesday night we had a respite worker come and watch the kids. Monday though Emmy and Joseph came with us. We toured Brian's office, went to the outlet mall and had a delicious meal at Dos Coyotes. I have a mango mahi mahi salad, was super great!:) On Tuesday My folks experienced my busy days of tutoring sessions. They told Brian about how busy I was every second, I loved it:) We were able to attend the temple with my folks after much preparation and hemming of dresses and pants. It was a memorable and happy experience. My mom and I are a like she was craving in n out after so we stopped by, we even got the same thing:) She is sweet and giving, she even hemmed my curtains and cleaned my bathroom, big hug to her.~

Preserving memories

Happy anniversary! Its been one year to the day since I started this blog. I can't believe it. I'm glad Dawn got me started on it even though I resist learning new things and act like I will never enjoy or be interested in it. Yes, it has been that was with digital scrapbooks too and our cookbook blog. I'm happy to say I use the recipes from the cook book blog and have great ambitions for getting all these pictures from the year in photo/scrapbook form. How easily I forget How blessed I am and how the children have grown. Years fly by and experience and memories just file away in a space in my mind. I'm glad I keep a journal for churchy stuff, one for great escapes or time away, and blog a little to document these precious years raising our four fantastic children.:)

Celia's 2nd Birthday

~Verena VKA Beaute Feminine Kit

Reminiscing

Celia was noticing her scrapbook has pictures of her only as a baby. I found some old photos and I'm determined to digitally scrapbook them and add to her photo album. I love to look back and reminice. I can't believe how time has flown by.This party was Kieran's birthday but Spencer stole the spotlight for me. He was so happy. Can't beat pizza, his water bottle( he was obsessed with them at the time) and being able to pound on drums.:)

Meet Kirby~

Here is Kirby, Our Family Dog. Okay Emmy and I can't agree on whose dog it is. I say he is mine.:) He is 2yrs old and is a chocolate Labrador/golden retriever mix.

Spencer is all smiles around the dog.

Kirby trying to take off the gentle leader harness and Celia comforting him.

lol he tipped his dish over when he was done drinking

Just like a child who naps too much during the day, Kirby slept a little too much today and is awake this evening. He thinks its time to potty eat and have fun. We've only known him for two days, but I am already impressed at his ability to learn and his gentle demeanor. He was great today on a walk and visiting several neighbor kids in our front. We have had him on a gentle leader leash and he is learning his boundaries. Celia calls him buddy and gives him treats every chance she gets. She really wants him to be in his kennel sometimes and will try to encourage him to go in its cute. He comes when I call him and always wants to be near the family, so he whimpers a bit in the kennel. I am enjoying him around a lot and the kids are very interested and happy. I've already called him Kirby bear once or twice and that is our family thing, everyone gets a bear after their name, Celia came up with that one:)

A Happy Mother's Day.

Future Mothers Celia and Emmy.~ We had a lovely dinner with Rah Rah and Papa. Rah Rah brings the best food and its great to just eat and visit.:)
We had unusual weather. It was sunny and raining at the same time. Celia and I went to go see. It was beautiful.

I love the Homemade cards from the kids. They are my favorite part of Mother's Day celebrating
Bri makes the best steak. I'm so glad he made some yesterday!

Its true I don't pull out the china except every few year, but Bri was wondering when i got them and it was funny. Emmy remembered we've had it as long as she can remember and have eaten Easter Thanksgiving and Mother's Day dinner on it before:)
I had a wonderful Mother's Day. I was somewhat surprised at church that there wasn't any specific talks on Mother's. I didn't mind there were great talks and lessons shared. We did get a truffle from See's too. Yum! I thought it was great to have an opportunity to bring a chocolate by the sisters that I visit teach that weren't there. I really think the mindset to care for those who needs us is a theme I am seeing more at church and I am very happy about it. One reference to mother in sacrament meeting was nice though. The speaker pointed out that even as Christ hung on the cross and was finishing his work here on earth, he turned to his mother and comforted her and made sure she would be taken care of in his absence. His respect for mothers and women is inspiring to me. I am grateful to have a loving husband and wonderful mothers and grandmothers.:)There is a bit of sacrifice in bearing and rearing children and I appreciate all these wonderful women in my life.

Wildlife Nearby~

This temple is near Folsom, here is what we saw on the road up to the grounds.
I need to find out what kind of birdy this is. The red is so vibrant on its wing.:) We saw several of these.
If you look closely there is a deer there:) I'm used to seeing deer at dusk, but ten o'clock in the morning? It was exciting to see her hoping by.

A few geese walking along the road. Maybe they are going to the temple too!

We love that we have the Sacramento Temple so near by. We were pretty excited to see a deer on the way up to the Temple. Emmy was the photographer on most of these. She did great.~

Time away

Here I am on a porch swing all smiley after a great nights sleep, after exercising , being with the animals, meeting great people, and having great healthy food.

Beautiful flowers covered the grounds, I especially loved these snapdragons! They remind me of ones my dad and I planted in front of my home in Utah years ago.

Expectations were not fulfilled however, it still was a relaxing time and very informative. I learned how people come together with a common purpose. The ladies there with there disabled children were wonderful. I felt like we were all friends immediately. I loved how everyone there was focused on living a healthy life. Family oriented people that wanted to eat well, rest well, and use their free time to study, be with friends and family, and read good books. It was extra special having the disabled children in the dorms. They are so loving and are drawn to me. They must know I have some special kiddos at home! Learning to do what was on the Schedule is draining physically, emotionally, and intellectually. How fulfilling it can be to succeed though. I love animals and have seen the benefit they have on my person specifically. It still was a great opportunity.~

Saturday~

I helped the girls organize their room a little today. It is perpetually cluttered so we booted some toys out of the room. Celia has so many clothes and with them all clean I was wondering what to do. After our evening ride in the car I saw this! A cute little dresser for Celia Bear. It even has peg legs like mine that keep it off the ground. She said "How Beautiful!" whene Brian and I brought in the the house. Her stuff fits great in it:)

A stash of Spencer clothes! he loves to change them so often I need proof his clothes were actually clean and ready for him hehe.:)

I need to mention how happy I am to have a new washer and dryer. They work wonderfully and even Emmy is amazed when she goes to check on something she has put in the dryer and its actually dry!

Emmy said today seemed long. I can see why she thought that, we did a lot today. In preparation for my being gone a lot of the next two weeks, we decided to really get a handle on our laundry. I told the kids they needed 14 of everything, shirts, pants, underwear socks, etc... This was a tall order , but it was cute as they gathered their loads and we moved them through the process.

Last Cabin, Twice Utah, and One Birthday

This was a big trip and very anticipated since we have changes coming up with the ownership of the Family Cabin. We have gone there for over...
