Spencer Sundays

I love that Sundays are a day when the family is home, well most of the time.:) We usually have a three hour block of church and then lots of family and quiet time. Since Spencer doesn't like to stay for his classes very long, I have Spencer duty. Even though I don't get to go to Sunday School and Relief Society, I am loving our special time together. We listen to music like children's songs and Hymns off of lds.org and I sing to him while he swings. He seems like he really enjoys it. We often watch a message by one of the general authorities. Those are really neat too. Today we took a ride to the temple. It was neat to see some turkeys at the park on the temple grounds. We saw four deer eating from the trees next to the temple too. They were beautiful. Spencer seemed more interested in the fountain so we went and he sat by it for a little. The air was so a fresh and clear just like the water. It had rained last night and it smelled wonderful still. Spencer is a quick one, so after he foot his foot in the fountain we left lol. I love the peace and serenity on the temple grounds. Its nice to think about Good things and worship on our own too on the Sabbath. I am grateful for my special Spencer doodle and all the blessings he brings to our life. He is loved.~

It doesn't happen everyday.

This is the after picture.~
These are my happy expressions. I was excited to get new appliances hehe. Its not everyday you get new appliances and being a homemaker, these are nice tools for my work.;)

Since we have hard floors its nice to put fabric in areas that don't get too dirty and can have a lot of color. The girls room was the last closet where the doors were off its hinges so I took them off and got fabric curtains.:) I really like the tab curtain look.~
Before~ Our oven gave out and the home warranty place said we needed to replace it. We were happy to pick our own until I couldn't find one for almost two weeks hehe. Brian came to the rescue and bought one with a matching microwave on the way home from work. is just what I wanted, hooray!
Its been a fun day of new things. The curtains, the microwave, stove, even Spencer got a new tutor named Andy today. We played guitar hero and hung out in the cool house while it was 106 degrees outside. It felt great to be able to cook again and Spencer was happy about the change which is great, I was crossing my fingers and praying he wouldn't freak out over the new appliances. I am grateful for my little life and situation. I have a new goal to eat healthier and now I can prepare nutritious foods with more enjoyment and ease.~

Friends and Sisters.

Dawn & I five years ago, time flies!
Horseback Riding April 2005. Ang brought her best buddy(Stephanie)who happens to be Lauren's mom a friend of Emmy's:) Its a small world.

We went out to lunch for birthdays with the ladies from bunko. They were such fun. Joseph got to go too, he liked being the only one home going out with mom and her friends.:) We went to Mimi's cafe. The chick food restaurant according to Brian.:)

I love this picture, its hilarious. Ang, Dawn and I in downtown Sacramento.

Sometimes its nice to look at old pictures and reminisce. These pictures I love but they never made it into a scrapbook or blog as of yet. Its a hodgepodge of fun memories.:)

Teeth Week!

We started off our teeth week on Monday when Emmy had her bottom braces put on. They hurt, a lot, in fact you can't be near Emelie without her letting you know they hurt. Poor thing. She has been living on soup, yogurt, and tortillas the past few days. Then, Tues. morning Brian got his teeth cleaned by Lisa, yay. Joseph wants to be a big kid and go to Lisa for his teeth cleaning too. He and Celia however had teeth cleaning appointments for Tuesday later in the day. Celia has to get her other front tooth extracted today because there was an abcest forming, probably due to the trauma that cause her other front tooth to shatter and have to be removed. I am assured after this extraction all wil be well with her in that area. Joseph also has an appointment today to have his first filling. He is a dramatic little kid, I am crossing my fingers on that one. I am seeing the dentist on Friday too, for something similar to Celia. Yup, teeth week will hopefully conclude on Friday. I just got back from the grocery store, I bought lots of soft foods for people with sore mouths. At least we can feel empathy for one another in the family right? hehe Wish me luck.~

Ever Grateful~

I am feeling grateful today. I love my little ones. My favorite primary song is "A Child's Prayer" I like how the second verse is so reassuring. "Pray, he is there, speak he is listening. You are his child, his love now surrounds you." It is a song about our heavenly father and us, but I love how reassuring it is. It is true though we are attached to our children. Sometimes when a child of mine gets hurt, it literally hurts my stomach to see them in pain. It also is almost completely impossible to ignore the things they say and the calls for mom. However, sometimes the answer is no for certain things, but the love and concern for my children is always there. I love them and want the best for them and I want them to make choices that will make them happiest in the long run. I bring this up because I am grateful for a loving family, a heavenly father that loves me, and a blessed life. Brian and I celebrated our sixteenth wedding anniversary on Thursday. I am glad we do well together, we get along and he is a great love and support to the kids and I. It really is a great thing to have a happy family and feel peace, happiness, and health.

The first day of Pre-k, 4th, and 8th grade~

I can't believe it is the first day of another year of school for Emmy, Joseph, and Celia. Spencer doesn't start for another week, since he is beginning a new classroom for 7th grade at Vista Creek. Joseph is going to fourth grade! I know he is getting to be such a older boy! Emmy will be ruling the school as a eight grader this year. I love these kids dearly and miss them already. They are so good, strong, and smart. And they have cute backpacks to boot!:) We had a great time gathering all their millions of supplies needed at Target(since walmart is on my boycott list). Who knew they'd need post- its, index cards, and tape along with their pencils, binders, rulers, scissors, and glue sticks. I am happy with the education my children receive from this school district though and I'm sure they will learn a lot this year!

Pickin' Up Emmy

When we were on vacation we went to my folks house and dropped off Emelie(also other things including celebrating my birthday early.:) She was able to spend the weekend at my sister's house with her cousins, Addison and Kieran. Then the next Monday they left for Mammoth. Their accommodations were upgraded and their days were packed with activities such as kayaking, rock climbing, and hiking. They even had a fancy dinner at the Tamarack lodge in Mammoth, a family favorite of ours. Since school is beginning on the 10th Emmy needed to find a way home. Bri and and our respite worker (Merlene) took care of Spencer for Friday and Saturday and the other kids and I headed to Mammoth Lakes, California. As you can see from all the pictures I took, it is beautiful and we loved going for a walk around horseshoe lake, watching a movie under the stars on the big screen,(although it got cold) and seeing many many lakes before heading home. What a nice relaxing time we had.:)

These kids had so much fun together. I was proud of Celia running around with the big kids. She even slept in the bunk beds (just like at home) with them. She is growing so tall and aware of people and emotions around her. She won't be left behind, you can't even put your shoes on without her yelling to wait for her and get her shoes. I love how she has grown. Emmy has grown quite a bit this trip too. A little more independent and lot more cooperative at home. /thumbs up. We enjoyed our drive home listening to music, watching all the beautiful mountain passes and stopping off to ate some seriously huge and yummy desserts. Celia and Joseph had strawberry pie, I had a giant oatmeal raisin chocolate chip cookie and Emmy had huge cinnamin roll that I think had cream cheese in it, yum~!

Crystal Peak

All good things come to an end

Grandad Davis, Celia Jean, and Me. They spoiled us with yummy pizza with green chilies on top, chocolate shakes and crispy creme donuts! Mmmm.
Emmy Grandma Jean and Bo. This little poodle loved all the attention from the kids.

We had beautiful clouds on our ride from Albuquerque to California. With the help of beautiful scenery, having movies and DSI in the car, we made a nice trip in less time then expected. Brian is such a great driver too and the kids are troopers.
We made it to my folks house. One more day of vacation and then home.:)

Homemade baked fries and grilled veggie salad, we had sliders too, two kinds one with Dijon relish and pickes and one kind with sauteed onions and BBQ sauce. Yummy, Thanks Tanya for the gourmet bbq for my birthday bash as you called it.:) We swam went and got our manicure and pedicures. I also enjoyed a 50 minute facial from my folks for my Birthday. Thanks to Brian babysitting too, I had the most awesome pre- birthday celebration ever.:)

My folks were so sweet to get me this beautiful cake at my favorite cake place called Sugar and Spice. Its where we had our wedding cake made and was delicious. It was chocolate cake with raspberry filling.:)

Last Cabin, Twice Utah, and One Birthday

This was a big trip and very anticipated since we have changes coming up with the ownership of the Family Cabin. We have gone there for over...
