Take me out to the ball game! Something exciting always happens when we go to see the River Cats. We saw crash dummies on the way in and funny bobble head characters of Arnold Swarznegger, Ronald Reagan, and Gray Davis. The music is great and we have fabulous seats. There were so many foul balls this time. One came right at us, we ducked, it hit the short wall two rows in front of us and bounced off in a different direction.. We always talk about keeping our eyes on the ball and it was good we did! We listened to funny people yelling at the oppsing team who was the Salt Lake Bees.
The highlight was when the bases were load and I told Brian I needed to take out my camera. It was good luck! We saw a grand slam! (that means our tickets are good for a free grand slam breakfast at dennys) It was so far out of the park. I love to see the beautiful golden bridge and see the sun go down while we're there. I'm glad its a tradition to go to these games and I can't wait to see Joseph play the National Anthem there this fall with his new school's band. He is playing his trumpet all around the house and enjoying being able to be louder than Spence's voice with it. It is all good family fun!

Pure White Roses
We were glad to have Brian home from his trip to Salt Lake. His work sent these beautiful flowers for condolences for our family's loss at Nanni's passing. They smell incredible and the greenery in the flowers was especially fun. I think there is bamboo and banana leaves. I think I even saw some boxwood in there, something that is easily found around here. I loved the arrangement so much I brought them to church for a centerpiece in Relief Society as it was my first day in the presidency and thought they would be nice to share. Flowers make me happy and they are beautiful, just like Colleen is. I'm grateful for this gospel and the wonderful perspective we have of a premortal existence, a proving ground time here on earth, and wonderful possibilities in the next life.

First day of First grade, and Sixth too.~
Celia's first day of first grade it today! Joseph has his first day of Junior High and a new school! They were so ready. I was trying to feed them and they were walking out the door. We arrived first and was able to meet Celia's teacher, Mrs. Sage, she seemed really nice. Joseph's school had balloons decorations and music playing . It a huge school and barely any students were there it seemed. They told us at orientation they have room for 850 students, but this first year have 300 enrolled. It makes for a beautiful clean, and open campus. All the kids in Joseph's class drew a number out of a paper sack and that would be where they sat in the classroom. Joseph had Emmy put some music on his phone so he can listen to it on his nutrition break when electronics are allowed. I hope my children will learn a lot and meet great friends. It is hard to let them go, but they will do great! I tried to remind Celia to sit in class and listen to her teacher and she said Mom, I know all that stuff. Joseph felt confident enough to walk home from school. So, now I just wait to see how the first day went!

The Saturday Situation
Bri is off helping the rest of the Davis clan make funeral arrangements for Nanni that passed away last Wednesday. It is amazing how time flies. I am happy for the good memories of her. In the meantime we are keeping ourselves busy. We took Emmy to piano this morning and went to the park while she played. Emmy is finally learning to curve her fingers just right while playing. Her nails are usually too long so she lays her fingers flat. I guess there can be cons to having healthy nails!
Celia was so cute at the park. She would close her eyes and tell me she was flying. She has such a great imagination, I'm sure she was! We went school shopping at Target and Office Max. Joseph needed a backpack with wheels since they don't have lockers in Jr. High anymore. The lists of supplies they needed went on and on. Prepping for the first day of school times four really feels like getting ready for Christmas to some long awaited event. So much needs to be done and all the kids are someone what ready now.
Patty and I got to go to Mimi's cafe and shopping yesterday to celebrate our birthdays. It was great to see her at the fourth ward party we crashed tonight. Emmy wanted a ride to the Mormon Center youth Dance and she needed to meet Paige there. I feel a little bit like people wonder if I just don't like our new ward because we visit a lot. It is not true, we love our new ward. We have the best of both worlds! Spencer loved the Luau decorations, the rice and the drink with cute bendy straws. He started to sing loudly to the music so we left early. We're making it, but will be happy and excited to have Brian back asap. I'm also excited for Spencer to start school and get tired out at night for a good bedtime routine. He hasn't been sleeping well at all for a few weeks and I'm starting to really value, hunger and thirst after, a full night's rest. This too shall pass and I'm sure I will be more grateful for sleep when it comes again.:)

Up and at em.
Emmy has been a sophomore for a week now! She has been going to seminary too. It has been a challenge getting her there on time, since Spence has been a stay up all night kind of kid. He and I haven't had much sleep at all this week! I'm glad Emmy is willing to go to early morning seminary. They are learning the New Testament this year. Her teacher is older and I think has great insight and experience. He really wants to make a difference in helping these kiddos make good decision in their lives. We went to Joseph's Jr High school orientation yesterday. The school looks nice and the teachers and leaders are expecting a lot from the students. I like their approach. We will see how it goes. We pick up Joseph's schedule and see who Celia's teacher is this afternoon. Spencer starts school on Monday and the other two on Tuesday. I'm glad I've been prepping for a while, but getting all the things they need before hand is a big job. I think ill catch put on some sleep and some projects at home when they go back.:)Time flies and I really love those kids! We went to the park yesterday and walked around. I will miss having them home during the day, but I'll adjust and love even more when I have them after school.:)

Summer Finale at Mammoth~
We loved Mammoth. We walked among the beautiful trees, saw Lakes and did plenty of wonderful shopping! It really is a great outdoor, but with all the comforts of the city.We swam in the pool at the condo, saw a few coyotes, and had fun eating in and playing around together! We watched the Olympics at night and I loved sitting on the porch and watching the stars at night. My parents were prepped for us and we planned an adventured packed day on Friday. We did about 7 different activities including fishing, swimming and the adventure activities at the resort ie. Bungee Jumping, Rock climbing, and the zip line. I didn't see any adults doing it, so I didn't, but it sure looked fun!
